Our pursuit of God is for the purpose of being equipped and empowered to present Jesus to a world who needs Him desperately. There are ways to do that personally, through our sphere of everyday influence; locally, through our Hope Helping Hunger Ministry as well as our Food Bank Outreach; and internationally, through short-term mission trips.
Hope Helping Hunger
We have partnered with Laurel Park Elementary over the past 4 years to provide nutritious, non-perishable meals for students to take home every weekend, we have seen this outreach grow from serving 10 kids weekly to now serving 17 kids weekly. We have recently changed our partnership with Laurel Park to transition from weekend food bags to classroom snack bins. The classroom snack bins provide snacks for children that do not have a snack from home to nourish their mind and body throughout the day. This ministry is supported by the generous monetary and food donations received from our congregation. To learn more about supporting Hope Helping Hunger, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have partnered with Point Church to help with their local Food Bank. Every 5th Saturday of the month, we take a team from Hope Chapel to one of the Point Church Food Bank locations and we help serve a hot meal and pack grocery bags for families in need. This is a great opportunity for Connection Groups to serve in the community. Questions? Email email@example.com.

Short-Term Missions Trips
We have a short-term missions trips partnership with Direct Christian Impact (DCI) in Tizimin, Mexico. In 2017, we will be sending two teams the week of July 22-29 with 2 main focuses:
Power Evangelism and Five Fold Ministry: The focus of this team will be equipping and empowering the pastors and leaders in Tizimin and surrounding areas. The week will include worship, seminars and street ministry & end with an outdoor revival. If you want to learn to step out in prayer, this is the mission for you! Training will be provided. This team is geared towards ages 16 and up.
Families and Youth: This team will give our youth a chance to reach children and youth in villages near Tizimin. If you are a youth, or an adult with a heart to empower youth, this week is for you. Our youth will plan and run a VBS for preschoolers through high school age. There will also be opportunities for street ministry and sports evangelism. The minimum age for this week is 9 years old with a parent, 16 years old without a parent.
Cost includes airfare, ground transportation, lodging, most food and water, ministry supplies and an excursion to a tropical island. The cost is $1200 for the week. The application and first deposit ($100) are due by January 15. The second deposit of $100 is due February 5. If you can pay both deposits sooner, that would be very helpful. The cost of airfare is subject to change until we pay the deposits.
Adults can apply here.
Youth (under 18 at time of trip) can apply here.
The first Missions Team meeting is Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 7pm.
